Dry Dock Brewing Co.

Opening its doors in 2005, Dry Dock Brewing Company was the first craft brewery in Aurora. It was the result of the community that came out of a homebrew shop and sister company, The Brew Hut. To date, they have 28 GABF medals and 8 World Beer Cup awards.

The Challenge:

Dry Dock Brewing Co. was in need of uniform branding across their product range. We opted for a cohesive design approach, integrating an oval frame that echoes the logo, enabling each beverage to possess its unique visual identity while upholding the brand's overarching image.

Insights:

Following the completion of the initial can designs, Dry Dock decided to broaden their offerings by introducing 12-pack cases, seasonal 22-ounce bombers, and a lineup of Signature Series bombers for their barrel-aged beers. Additionally, ongoing deliverables included print advertising, poster creation, point-of-sale advertising, digital advertising, apparel design, social media management, email newsletters, a revamp of their WordPress website, and various other initiatives.

Deliverables:

Brand Identity, Illustration, Packaging Design, Apparel Design, WordPress Website Development, Print Advertising and Digital Adverting.

12 Pack Packaging Design

Dry Dock needed 12 pack package designs for the bestselling Apricot Blonde along with a 4 beer mixed pack. For the Apricot Blonde 12 pack, we integrated the branding elements from the original can. As for the mixed pack, dubbed the "Booty Box," we opted for a pirate theme, Tying into the brewery's nautical concept, and featured images of the 4 cans prominently on the box design.

Apparel Design

Given the enthusiastic cycling culture in Colorado and the frequent sight of cyclists pedaling to the brewery, we aimed to further elevate Dry Dock's brand presence by offering apparel and accessories tailored for our cycling customers. We designed bike jerseys featuring the distinctive label designs of the Apricot Blonde, Hop Abomination, and Hefeweizen can labels.
